Festival: Decorating the dracaena.......

We don't celebrate Christmas......so, no conifers for our living room...no baubles to decorate either...
However, I have several potted plants.......
I have decorated the dracaena with random trinkets from the house....

Most of them are discarded ornaments....no point in keeping them in dresser after I found myself having nickel allergy.......
At least they are beautifying my dracaena...
Do you like them?

Knowledge: 'Polymath'......a worshiper of learning....

I came cross the term 'polymath' yesterday......someone who is passionate about learning...and possesses information on a wide variety of topic...
I guess I am one.......science to art, and everything in between fascinates me........
This passion widens outlook...also frees mind from depressing clutters......enables to respect all entities...and appreciate vastness of the Universe..
People in mobile phone and an app-for-every-mundane-thing might say what is the need to learn and remember, but you can't realize the value and joys of quest until you try.......

Passion: Succulents in my garden..........

If you are in South California, and you don't have succulents in your garden, that seems odd
I do have half a dozen varieties in the patio container garden........
Coppertone Stonecrop.........

Portulaca...

Aeonium...

Baby sun rose...

Its blooms in autumn.....

Pencil cactus...........

Propagating succulents is so easy..........
Just stick the stalks in the soil..........I have generated many such container-full of succulents...this is a 2 feet long container...soon, it will be full of lush crown and blooms..

Or, put the leaves on the pot for them to root and form the whole plants...
Here, I have put Coppertone Stonecrop leaves to root.......

After 2-3 weeks some of them have started developing tiny shoots...exciting! free plants from leaves..

In a month or so, the tiny plant is ready...miracle!

A prominent root..

Is not that nice? I will see how many miniature pots of succulents I can create..

Its pretty is not it?
