Some days back, in spring actually, we took a hike in Red rock canyon in our neighborhood in Orange county.......
The ground was carpeted in velvety grass......
The hills and canyons too........
There were patches of poppy, and lupine.......
Then we reached the destination......a small pocket of sedimentary rock that reminded of Zion National Park, Utah.......
Even that of Bryce National Park, Utah.......
My spouse scanning the caves, and hollows.......
It was a pleasant hiking, barely ten miles from our house......
The following day was our sixth wedding anniversary...we stopped at an IHOP to gorge on pancakes...
