Season: Plethora of autumn berries....to drive away imminent winter gloom..

Autumn in this part of the planet is not only about the splash of colors in foliages, but also the abundance of wild berries. 
A season of buffet for frugivorous birds like warblers, waxwings, robins, thrushes and finches
Clusters of rose hip, nandina, foxtail fern, pepper, hawthorn berry, choke berry, yew, rowan, pyracantha, Christmas holly berries, hackberry,  honeysuckles fruits, lily pilly and myriad other varieties  ripe this time of the year....most of the berries, though look alluring, are toxic for humans, but edible and important diet for the birds. The feathered critters gorge on nature's pantry before their winter migration...
