Bird: Mourning dove, an epitome of innocence...........

I captured this fabulous snap of the adorable mourning dove yesterday morning. I love these peaceful birds, what if they don't create much avian cacophony or don't have garish plumage. They are less shy towards humans and often seen in pairs. I admire the black fluid eye with the innocuous gaze..

Not for nothing these adorable bird are called the peace symbol. As much as I have studied them, they enjoy perching quietly on the shingle-roof , sweetgum or callery pear branches or the balcony fence, sunning their feathers and whiling away time with their mate.
