Plant: Fig bounty.....banquet for birds........

This spring and summer, fig trees are burdened with plentiful fruits. It's delightful to gaze at the bountiful trees. No wonder, with ample food to eat, birds are singing their hearts out..









The delicious-looking pink pulp...

The 'so-called fruits' are infect a type of inflorescene called 'syconus'. The flowers are borne inside the receptacle and through the tiny aperture called 'ostiole', the   fig wasps penetrate an pollinate them...
