Fungi and mushroom: Chicken-of-the-woods...........

I had heard a lot about the culinary importance of chicken-of-the-woods mushroom. Autumn came and the eucalyptus trees in our neighborhood sprouted the brilliant yellow mushrooms.

I decided to give it a try......Plucked a piece..washed and chopped...cooked like chicken fry...


Well, it could be eaten..but it did not appeal to my taste buds...what with the woody fungus aftertaste..may be another recipe will do justice to the mushroom..
