Passion: When I used to bask in nature.....cherishing some joyous moments.....

I was skimming through my albums of past years...could not believe, how monotonous life has become of late...ever since I joined the bioinformatics degree..
Walk to near-by metro station for 10 min....wait for 10 min....commute 10 min....walk again 10 min from the station to laboratory...
Work there much of the day....research....read/write/think/listen/speak science..
After 6h, repeat the commute back home..long summer month was not exception from the routine..
Back home, apart from household chores...again academia, till retiring for the day..
The pictures felt like a dream...
On the south rim of the majestic Grand Canyon National park....

On Mount Rubidoux in Riverside...

On board Queen Mary II, stationed at Long beach...

In summer garden of a park on the bluffs of Upper Newport Bay....

By a street-side marigold bed in Irvine...

In San Diego zoo...

Gathering sycamore leaves in Square mile park..

Taking a stroll on the trails by the Upper Newport Bay estuary...

Hiking the chaparral in spring...the abundant varieties of wildflowers blanket the landscape...
where the beautiful yucca inflorescence stand out...

Colorado desert in winter...the Chinese pistachio draped in vibrant foliage..crisp wind whistling through the desolate vastness..

Christmas time...aboard the stranded Queen Mary II...Long beach skyline on the shore..

Winter morning in Sequoia National Park...the riparian sycamores ablaze with color..Kaweah river meanders below...

At the base of Morro rock in Sequoia National Park. on a crisp November morning..

In Monrovia forest in Angeles National forest on a summer afternoon...

In Carlsbad ranunculus field on a spring day...

In front of an elaborate sand sculpture in Orange county fair in late summer...

The morning visit to the fog-draped Laguna beach..

Chasing the coots in Square mile park....

Long hikes in the coastal canyons..

Tranquil  time in Fullerton arboretum.....

Desert trekking....oasis visit..

Bike riding by the marsh...

Serene afternoons in my favorite Tewinkle park..

Resting in the lap of nature, tired of hiking in Griffith Park, Los Angeles. What a magnificent view this cool and peaceful place offered!

Tranquil afternoon in the pine grove in a local park...

Los Penasquitos canyon preserve...

Sunset cliffs...

Lake Murray....

Mission trails....

And many many more cherishable moments...
Though much less frequently..I still explore the wilderness...yet the pressure of a difficult degree and other adjustments takes it toll, compromising the quality of the outings..
Hope, in next few months I will finish the study and take a break...and get to re-live the moments in nature's lap holistically.
