Passion: New blueberry plant for the container garden.......

As my potted kumquat seemed to be doing well, I felt confident to get another fruit plant.......
Blueberry was in my mind for quite some time now.....So, bought one from Home Depot Garden Center......it was Misty, a Southern highbrush variety......
The tiny plant came with some blossoms and ripe fruits.......I tasted the berries, and they are sweet..unlike some blueberries that are tart or sour....

This Ericaceae family plant is a heath, so thriving in this South California Mediterranean climate should not be a problem.....
The only issue is that blueberry prefers cross-pollination.......so, two different variety of blueberry is recommended....which I am not sure, if I want to get.....
Well, depending on the productivity, I will decide it...for now, I have to tend it into a healthy shrub...
-----------
I almost killed the plant with some chemical fertilizers....sheer ignorance...
these acid-loving plants can't tolerate high pH and nitrogen...
Leaves have been lost..
But, the berries persist..
Some of them have turned purple...on the way to ripe..
