Place: Woodbridge lake on a late winter afternoon.........

There is this lake Woodbridge in our Irvine neighborhood......we love to take stroll around it.....and marvel at its flora and fauna.........
Sweetgum has started to break buds......

A coot, swollen up like a blimp...the next moment it was attacking another coot.....

A pair of mallards....its the season of breeding..

The bark of ponytail palm....looks like the carapace of a turtle...

Fountain showing a rainbow...

A tumor/burl on a coral tree.......

A lone Egyptian goose chick...its parents were there...but  a lady told it has five siblings as well...nowhere to be seen..I don't want to speculate what happened to them...

Mottled bark of an elm tree..........
