Health: Fertility, and Pregnancy....

Human population boom has threatened the environment and other organisms...so, I thought, human reproductive success might be easy as an apple pie....but I was wrong..

Now I work in a genetic laboratory that assists IVF clinics....and it gave me some insight on the problems with human fertility......

Degrading air quality, processed food, and estrogenic cosmetics are causing inflammation..resultant immune activation is hostile for a successful pregnancy....

Awareness, and disciplined lifestyle can save couples from misery, exorbitant costs of assisted fertility, and health risks........

And as a medical scientist, I assure that Kokopelli, the fertility god is going to be of no help, until immune homeostasis is not restored..

Few years back, there was this Anatolian food and culture festival in our city Costa Mesa.....we had visited there, and got  a taste of Turkey...there we had met world's tallest man..Sultan Kösen ...a Turkish-Kurdish man...his height wa 8 ft 2.82 in..

His excessive height was due to acromegaly, a tumor of the pituitary gland.

People think its all about food....processed food definitely is  a culprit...but its not the only one..

Self-discipline can prevent inflammation...and resolve metabolic issues..

Tattoo......its  a form of style statement...but, I don't think it should be done..

Art is great...but body is hardly an ideal canvas..
I am a medical professional, so I know how a tattoo can trigger immune provocation.....which will unleash  a litany of complications.......

Technique: Hydroponics......

Almost everybody knows that hydroponics is the technique of growing plants without soil.....
Generally mineral-fortified water is used to grow the crops in this technique...
I put a cut celery root in water and this is what I got.......

Place: The Cabin resort we stayed in for Sequoia National Park visit..

In our recent trip to Sequoia National Park, we stayed in a cabin....
In front of the cabin, there were two lakes and a koi pond.....
Colorful koi fish were swimming among the lily pads...

Several canoes floated on the lake.....

The cabin owner's house was impressive.......

Some feral cats hung out in the premise........

The Kaweah river flowed few steps away.......so wildlife could be spotted in abundance......

Thought: Traits which make humans real humans........

I have tremendous respect for humble, honest, humane humans........
I respect and am inspired by people who face tragedies head-on, keep sanity, and emerge victors...

This old man who lives all alone in a trailer in the desert......
My young friend, who lost her husband in her early 30's and raising her son single-handedly...
My boss who is rich, but helped his not-so-well-endowed sibling by giving a job to her son..
My sister who despite her limitations did her best to help all other siblings..
The stranger who offers me a pair of sandals when mine got stolen in a Indian train ...and the one who offers me two water bottles in a scorching hot summer day......

We are ultimately grey characters...bad and good traits exist as mosaic...still we can stand up to the occasion to bring some cheers to people's life..
