Plant: Dragon fruit or pitaya......another exotic tropical fruit...

One day, while out on my expedition to explore my neighborhood in Costa Mesa, I came across this lovely house. Apart from the rock facade, what grabbed my interest is the entwining cactus plant on the pine trunk. I could know, the baby-head size pink luscious fruits were dragon fruits or red pitaya (Hylocereus undatus),  exotic tropical fruits, I have only read, never seen. Rest of the day, I basked in the precious discovery.

Since than, I have come across these fruit-laden vines multiple times, even relished...........
