Purplish-red fuchsia. I was enchanted to see these brilliant, drooping flowers against the rich green leaves. This hanging basket with the glorious plant graced the porch of a neighbor's house. It was hard taking off eyes from this fabulous blossoms, but the beauty was irresistible when I saw hummingbirds hovering and sucking nectar.
The flowers are stunning....not only the petals, the sepals are vibrant as well....
But, do you know, apart from the ornamental flowers, the juicy fruits are perfectly edible as well?
The berries have the size and appearance of Indian blackberry....
