People: Absorbed in nature...............

An old man watching the  geological marvel, the Grand Canyon. Relaxing in the desolate view point, under the pine canopy on the edge of the mile-deep gorge, puffing away cigarettes, he seems lost in the lap of spectacular nature............

A hiker in the  midst of cacti-infested Anza-Borrego Desert....

The windy, bone-crunching cold Colorado Desert in a winter morning. In the harsh climatic conditions, it was tough to stand out there even for a minute. The howling wind sweeping through the clumps of Cholla cacti was the only audible sound. I assumed there was not any human being, just then I discovered a bivouac. Adjacent to the encampment was parked a recreational vehicle (RV). I could not help marveling at the dare-devil spirit of the audacious campers. It certainly needs heavy rush of adrenaline to spend nights under the inky sky in the midst of nowhere and sharing space with the vicious rattle snakes and scorpions.
