Most of South California towns are blessed with fabulous sunny climate year round. The balmy weather makes it ideal for riding bike along its manicured sidewalks, paved paths in parks and nature trails. The other day I was out with my bicycle and saw a good number of fellow cyclists enjoying the awesome weather. I vote for cycling as a wholesome pleasure for reasons galore. It exercises muscles, no gas filling cost, no pollution, slow speed offers better view of the surroundings, you can pause where ever you like...for me it's like a companion, an escort in navigating new streets...
Nice variety of photos. I totally agree with you - cycling is so much fun, and a great way to get around. I started commuting a couple years ago on my foldable bike, and I've seen so much more than I do when I drive.
