Fauna: Camouflage masters........

Animals are camouflage experts.....a basic survival requirement to blend with the habitat...for escaping predators or  mauling the preys....like these critters below..

Tree squirrel in Zion..

Baby ground squirrel...

A pair of mergansers...

Oriole on a Century plant...

Humming on scrub oak...

Humming on a bare pear tree...

Sparrows in grassland...

Gull on a pebble-covered beach...

Gull on sandy shore...

Another gull blending with the wet sand...

Crab in tide pool...

Song sparrow foraging among the mulch....

This red-shouldered hawk is visiting our apartment..despite its attempt to camouflage, I could spot him :)

A mourning dove.......

Aposematism or warning coloration is an antipredator adaptations where the prey displays brilliant color to convey the message that its distasteful and should be avoided for predation......
