Joy: A hymn to the glory of Mountains.....

Mountains symbolize resilience...and they have the ability to cleanse souls....make a person humble..some quotes and some pictures from my lens..

"Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean."  -John Muir

"It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves."  -Edmund Hillary

“Chasing angels or fleeing demons, go to the mountains.”   -Jeffrey Rasley

“Every mountain top is within reach if you just keep climbing.”   -Barry Finlay

“You don't need to climb a mountain to know that it's high.”  -Paulo Coelho

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”  -John Muir

“We are now in the mountains and they are in us, kindling enthusiasm, making every nerve quiver, filling every pore and cell of us.”   -John Muir

Of course, most of the quotes are from legendary  'Mountain man' John Muir and the pictures from the magnificent Sierra in California............the latter inspired the former and in turn, the former brought the latter to limelight and played big role in preserving their wilderness..........
 More to come...
