Place: Eastern Sierra lakes!!!!..........

This road trip offered us as many as half dozen lakes....all of them alpine..nestled on Sierra foothills...with distinct characters of each of them..come along as I reminisce......

The saline Mono lake...dotted with tufa towers...a combo of salt chalk and porous pumice stones...

Grant lake....located at the base of hills with avalanche of colored aspens...overlooking snow-capped peaks...coots flocked in thousands........

Silver lake....pristine, bordered with lush aspen groves...the gentle breeze can easily lull you to sleep!....

June lake....great for fishing folks..and kayakers...got too see mule deers, hawk and other birds in its surrounding flora.....

Gull lake...small but very pretty...the fallen aspen leaves and bright rose hips on the lake shore charmed me...also the bear and trout statues...

Convict lake...stunning lake, immediately below impressive mountains...I loved the trees on the lake fringe....seems like, its a hot venue for wedding ceremonies...

Lake Sabrina.....situated at an altitude above 8,000 feet, this lake was blanketed in thick snow..and fall foliage around it could take your breath away!

Intake lake II...it can be called a non-decript lake by its size, but its charm is exquisite!

Now, don't you feel tempted to rush there?
