Dense green tree....beautiful clusters of flowers, just like manzanita.....flower color can vary..
The buds..
It bears fruits in profusion...green while raw, which turns yellow to crimson while ripe...taste is rather bland for human, but its a major bird magnet....

In fruiting season the trees are stunning...as if natural baubles hung on Christmas tree....
The blooms look much like manzanita blooms..urn-like and in white clusters...
This tree planted in my University campus is blooming and fruiting simultaneously...
A bunch of the fruits...
The glossy, red bark........its known to be quite resistant to fire.......
As its a native plant, lots of them have been planted in local parks and nature trails....
These plants do our apartment gardens too......
