Among other edible plants, I have sown seeds of parsley, chives, oregano and thyme in my patio container garden.......also some nasturtium, and cucumber...
Actually, these herbs are not primarily used in Indian recipes......so, I am yet to learn how to use them.......

The soaked seeds were put 1 inch below the soil..
They are germinating beautifully......

#Oregano (Origanum vulgare )
Oregano seeds will germinate in soil in approximately 8 to 14 days
Used in pizza, spaghetti, pasta, marinara sauces, stews, salads, soups, even tomato juice.
#Rosemary
Rosemary seeds will germinate in soil in six to eight weeks.
Used in butter for bread; chicken marinade; skewers; soup/stew;
infuse simple syrup with rosemary for drinks; Shrimp Scampi; Chickpea And Rosemary Soup; rosemary lemonade.
#Chives
Chives will germinate in 2 to 3 weeks
Used in Soups, Salads, omelette, dips, baked potatoes, stew,quesadillas,
Use the chopped chives as garnish to retain flavor
#Nasturtium
The big seeds were soaked overnight...before inserting in the soil..
It took 2-3 weeks to germinate......
Looking forward to have the leaves and blooms in salads..

Parsley seeds take 10 to 25 days to germinate.
Chicken marinade, herb salad, omelette, hummus, aioli, pesto, tomato sauce, fish curry, ravioli, quiche....may be tabbouleh.......
#Thyme
Its germination is slow taking from 14 to 28 days
Used in veggie dishes, egg, bean,stocks and stews

They are germinating beautifully......
