These blossoms are that of shell ginger........a Zingiberaceae member native to Eastern Asia....
In South California, its planted for the beautiful plant and these fragrant blooms....
Named 'shell ginger', for the similarity of the tender flowers with sea shells...though, they go by 'pink porcelain lily' for the shiny petals....
