Place: Lake Tahoe .........

Last year, in the memorial weekend we had a road trip to North California...among few other stopovers, we had been to Lake Tahoe..........
The beautiful alpine lake...refreshing climate and stunning natural setting...

View of the crystal blue lake from a vantage point...

The promenade by the lake.....

Enthralling water stratification of the lake......a phenomenon pertaining to variation in temperature, depth and density of water...

It was mid-May, yet was too chilly.......the wind flt like whips...spouse is talking with the mallard..

From a lush edge of the lake.....

Countless visitors were enjoying the natural  resources as per their liking...
Be that.................
Cycling along the forested trails...

Kayaking on the crystal water...

Taking nap by the lakeside lawn...

Having get-together on the sandy shores...

Or simply relaxing on the rocking dock while chatting away...

Place: Old town in different seasons............

This post is all about how a difference of few months brings changes in landscape, theme, self...

Heritage park in October...sweetgum foliage were starting to turn reddish-orange..

Same place in May..sweetgums were lush green...jacarandas were in full bloom...

Another Heritage park  building in summer and Fall, respectively......

I guess, its a synagogue..my spouse resting under the pepper trees...

October evening...fog from the Ocean was creating a dramatic view...city lights were illuminating..

May morning, dull and drab day...

The perennial statue in Farmer's market was in keeping with Halloween theme...

In May, it was a regular farmer..

Another Halloween.................

Another summer.................

Another Halloween.......

Place: Bountiful beauty of Glacier national Park...some reminisces...

'Big sky state' Montana... ethereal beauty of Glacier National park....such splendid is its beauty and abundant is its wildlife, you can't help not dwelling in the blissful moments...
Here I am sharing some of the snapshots from that land of serenity, tranquil lakes, snow-capped peaks, verdant greenery, cascading waterfalls, beautiful chalets tucked in the wilderness, wildlife...

View from Going-to-the sun road...

All you can utter is picturesque!

A stunning waterfall...

A famous glacier...Salamander...

Sunset accentuates the montane landscape..

Clement's peak topped with tinted-clouds

Another view of the Salamander glacier...

(On Santa Ana-driven hot, scorching days in San Diego,  cherishing these sublime, snowy landscapes give me solace).

It was July and the meadows were busting with myriad variety of wildflowers...lupine, columbine, monkey flower, fireweed, balsam root and  many more..
You can't help running among the flowers, pausing to inhale their fragrance and admiring their delicate beauty..

And taking stroll along the rivers was enjoyable..

Misty waterfall..........

And contemplating by the cascading waterfall was peace!!...

Indulging in the fun of perching on a log bridge on the rivulet and swinging legs...

And marveling at the towering mountains plastered with massive glaciers (also, feel sorry for the receding glaciers)...

One of the iconic chalet............

Another stunning one....

Abundant wildlife........
Mule deer........

Wild horse......

Columbian squirrel.......

Marmot.......

Bighorn sheep flock......

Mountain goat....

Swallow.....

Pine squirrel.....

I feel blessed to have got the opportunity taste a slice of this paradise....
