Season: When El Nino whipped up a storm........

El Nino showed its prowess for the second time within a month....this time it was about less rain and more gusty wind, reaching as high as 35miles/h ........
It looked ominous...caused major damages...uprooted massive oaks and eucalyptus....led to power outages.....injuries..even a death..
I dared to venture out as the storm howled and tormented trees, stripping them of remaining leaves, and breaking branches...
Palms were resilient...they swayed and their fronds looked disheveled, but retained full integrity and survived unscathed..

Eucalyptus trees were not so lucky...the clumps of branches looked like seaweeds on sea shore..

The pines let the fierce wind tilt to an angle and lost most of their mature cones and some needles...

Some brave sycamore leaves refused to give in...

The delicate blossoms of Callery pear create a picture of paradox....not one to loose their petals before ensuring pollination...

The puddles streaked with myriad ripples...

Ephemeral grass being assaulted...
