Place: Wildlife in Zion-Bryce region...

The route from Zion to Bryce National park offers great opportunity to view wildlife..........
We got to see...
Herds of bisons, in ranches...

Pronghorn...

Mountain blue bird...

White-breasted nuthatch....

Flocks of  mule deer...

Also some rabbits...while it delightful enjoyable watching these wildlife, It was sad to see so many of them as victims of roadkill.....if only this could be prevented, by installing wire or something...but then, it will fragment their habitat and their population structure will affected....a novel solution much be reached to save these critters..

Place: Spring break visit to Zion national park.......

Its a great start, when you wake up in the morning and greeted by this majestic view.....the iconic sandstone cliffs of Zion national park............

Springdale, the gateway to the park...endless queues of vehicles to enter the mesmerizing landscape...

And the roads are red...as if to make it blend with the surroundings.......

Here, I enter to my  7th USA national park so far....

The cottonwoods are cloaked in tender spring foliage..

Such a contrast the vibrant green make against the red-purple towering rocks...

While we visited the park, the canyons were splashed with these flowers...

Just recently learned, they are Utah serviceberry...always exciting to get identity of a new plant.

The tunnel and the adjoining mesa......

So, I have all of them in my bucket list..though its not quite feasible monetarily or time-wise, I will be glad if I could get a taste of a fraction of them...

The year 2013 has been great for us, in terms of visiting US national parks.....we had been to four amazing parks.....
In May, we landed in Lassen Nat'l park (CA)...established in 1916.......it was the end of spring and snow was still blanketing the earth...

In July, We went to Glacier Nat'l park (MT)....established in 1910.......summer was in full swing and myriad varieties of wildflowers and snow-thawed waterfalls mesmerized us...

The same week, we headed towards the crowning jewel of National parks...yes, Yellowstone (MT and WY)....established in 1872.......wildflowers, rain, smoke...we were fortunate to witness everything...

The yellowstone river.........

In Thanksgiving holidays, we hit Sequoia Nat' park (CA), to spend some days with the tree  giants.....established in 1890.......

In 2014, Labors day weekend we visited Yosemite........established in 1890.......

In 2015 Spring break, Zion......established in 1919.......

and Bryce........established in 1928.........

I cherish the eyeful of inspiring landscapes, wildlife, fresh air and rejuvenation that I garnered from the trips....hope and wish, the coming year replicates this blessing.....
