Place: Torrey Pines State Reserve.....

Had heard much about Torrey Pines State beach and adjacent reserve..decided to visit the last weekend...
It was winter 2014.........
The cold wind was harsh...anyway, the hard sand was inviting enough to take a stroll..

Few gulls were hanging about...

There were so many pebbles on the beach, we though it could have been aptly named 'pebble beach'...

I got some opportunity for  people photography...

The sandstone buffs with wind caves and concretions were stunning! The different rock layers were easily distinguishable.

A rock slab on the beach..

Pretty gemstone-like pebbles dotted the sand and it was fun to cherry-pick them.

Adventurous spirits were paragliding as the sun shone...

In this winter, we dropped in there yet again...year and season-specific changes were obvious....

The gorgeous view from a bluff....

From atop a vantage point....the chaparral-clad bluffs overlooking the vast Ocean...
