Season: Winter rain in San Diego...2014...

After starving San Diego for months, rain finally came...in generous showers, considering the dry climate of this area...It lasted two days and poured down many inches...
But, my tight schedules did not let me explore  the rain-drenched outdoors, as much as I would have liked...I stole just a few moments to soak in  and savor it in my vicinity...

This Callery pear is a early-bird for sure, decked in pretty white blossoms, it offered an interesting sight against the moisture-laden sky...

It was an welcome change to see the otherwise sunny, azure sky all grey and thick with nimbus clouds...

The rain-washed, yellow foliage of cottonwoods made a riveting picture...

The 'moving landmark' of San Diego, the trolley continued its service, despite a very few commuters...

The fall foliage brightened with the shower....

Starry leaves of sweetgum looked fabulous against the sky...

A bird-of-paradise bloom unruffled by the rain...

Wish I could have enjoyed the rare rain panorama longer and captured some interesting shots........
