Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, Orange county, CA...........
We were on our way to a local park for weekend hiking......int was October and the park was closed due to a recent wildfire..
We came across this cemetery on our way back to home...
The cemetery overlooks the chaparral canyon..it must have been green in spring and summer.........but now a vast burned arena...heart wrenching....how many plants and animals have perished!
Just see this pine tree....charred..
A wind chime hung from a tree.......
Some pine trees have cones burst open...hope, the seeds will start new life..
Another scalded tree...
Another pine burned to death.......
Angels guarding a tomb...
Amidst all the fire threat, a silk floss tree survived and is blooming now......
Afternoon sunlight illuminates a bouquet..
A flock of ducks flying over the charred chaparral.....
