Colorful and fresh vegetables enchant me. Be that the soybeans, garden beans, brinjals, amaranths or carrots grown in our homestead garden or the overwhelming varieties of vibrant veggies displayed in village weekly markets, city daily markets, mall aisles.....
Cilantro and radish...........Romaine lettuce...........
Celery...............
Leek..........
Zucchini and squash...........
Broccoli and cabbage.....
Swiss chard and kale..........
A snapshot of the luxuriant green, rainbow chard grown in Tanaka Farm. I just loved soaking in the freshness of the lush greenery in the crisp autumn afternoon.
Cilantro ..before the entry of cold storage in daily life, this fragrant appetizing condiment plant was associated with winter season ...I just love the delicious aroma and taste of these leaves in any cuisine ...I liberally garnish it on any rcipe, be that chicken, fish, egg, potato, tomato, brinjal, grams, salad, sandwich...
Turnip...
Huge sized, pink fleshed Brandywine tomatoes. Though I have not tasted yet, I learned these are a variety of heirloom cultivar and very late to mature.....
