Place: On the trails of Wildwood Park........

It was a sun-kissed day in Wildwood Park, Thousand Oaks, CA...flocks of nature lovers, hikers, trekkers, joggers, cyclists and dog walkers werehiking the rising, plunging, meandering, encircling trails rimmed by the expansive chaparral, grassy meadow and oak woodland.

We reached to the cascading Paradise falls nestled in the meadows, canyons and oak woodland  .... an ideal place to relax on a lichen-adhered boulder and listen to the soothing sound of sparkling white, crashing water.......

We soaked in the tranquility for a while.......

This beautiful pool created by the fall, rimmed by boulders and the patches of lush cattails had thick mud bed under the placid water, clams, crustaceans, moss and algae populating the water...It could have been a haven for any duck! Perhaps, the tall oak and aspen trees in the woods have obscured the pool from them..

A couple arrived there with their pet... looking at the green rippling water of the pool, the dog salivated for swimming....as soon as  the harness is removed, it was to see the enthusiasm of the dog...

Hiking along the trails, I spotted three kinds of fence lizards. What  astonished me was their scale patterns and colors. Sure, they have honed the skill of camouflage to perfection.
On gravel.......

On dirt and straws......

On Valley Oak bark.........
