The advent of summer has certainly accelerated the metabolism and agility of the otherwise sluggish red eared sliders. The other day, I was sauntering in Tewinkle park and this fellow inching ahead on the pine needle carpet caught my attention. I was elated to watch it within touching distance and started snapping pictures. The guy was certainly irked by the interruption but tried to look unruffled. As I shifted my position to click it from the frontal, it took advantage of the situation and turned back, slipped downhill into the stream and disappeared. check the pictures........
