Season: San Diego autumn.....some snapshots...........

When I see the pictures of autumn splendor in other parts of the nation, I feel bad with what we get in San Diego..its as green and as grey as ever! We are deprived of rain, snow, get too much sun..as if that's not enough, autumn to eludes us!
Autumn does not mean medley of colors for my neighborhood ...
Its as verdant green it can be, with those beautiful weeping figs...

Landscape is painted brilliant with patches of bougainvillea...

Though its not so spectacular, yet, its not altogether deprived of those blazing shades...
I manages to capture some during my stroll around the neighborhood...
The orange of sweetgum offers a stunning contrast to the green of fig, pear and pine...

Another color of sweetgum crown..

Cottonwood on the bank of San Diego river turns gold....

Willow......

Colorful sweetgum.......

And these cottonwoods were quite pretty, with those golden crown..

A welcome contrast against the stunted chaparral bush and pines..

Chaparral cottonwood.......

Sycamore.............

Rust-foliage of sycamores are quite common....

SYYYYYY

Anyway, yesterday, on my stroll by the bank of San Diego river, I saw these Chinese rain trees, covered with pretty pink and yellow flowers...they were pure treat for the eyes! Now, who could have expected such floral bounty in fall!!
