Place: Fullerton arboretum....after the drought..........

Fullerton arboretum in Fullerton town of Orange county is one of my favorite place to visit....for its rich collection of botanicals........It was my fifth visit.....the last four visits were 3 years back,  before moving to San Diego.....
I have posted several times on the resourceful place, which you can find in these links...

This period between summer 2013 to summer 2016 is marred with prolonged drought in much of California....water use had been restricted........apparently, water level has dropped... sun is more intense than that the plants would like it to be.........
The result was not favorable.......many plants had been affected........some were conspicuous........
Like this Surinam cherry...it has borne more fruits than its supposed........the fruits were smaller and looked somewhat flaccid.........a sign of water deficiency stress......

Some trees have died as well.......
The turtle pond was covered in heavy algal bloom......not quite aesthetic.........and perhaps, asphyxiating for the aquatic creatures too.....
