Few days back, we had a fabulous trip to the iconic Hoover Dam on the mighty river Colorado. The picturesque meandering roads, the Joshua tree-infested Mojave Desert, the tranquil Lake Mead bound by the grey hills, the grandiose dam, the spectacular bypass bridge, the hardy sparrows and ravens constituted an experience of life-time. Some reminisces from the Silver State Nevada....
The needle-straight road carved along the heart of Mojave Desert..
The spooky Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia)...
The land of million Joshua trees...
A raven with tousled feathers in the windy Desert...
A pair perched on a lamp post ...............
This sparrow calls the Hoover Dam area its home...
The placid water of Lake Mead contained by the grey hills...
Surrounded by the black lava and red sandstone rocks...a pleasant blue reservoir in the midst of arid lands..
From an Observation Point............The colossal bridge over the Colorado...Notice the miniscule tourists atop it..
