Plant: Brazil pepper tree and its berries......

Brazil pepper tree (Schinus Terebinthifolia) is a common ornamental tree in South California.

This Anacardiaceae member was brought to the USA  from South America for aesthetic purposebut now it has acquired invasive proportion. It is threatening shorelines and suppressing mangroves.

Though the berries look luscious, most of this plant parts are poisonous, causing itching on physical contact.
