Plant: Pride of Madeira flowers............

Spring arrived and these lovely  Pride of Madeira (Echium candicans) started blooming in South California.

This native shrub of Madeira and Canary Island  is abloom with countless fabulous floral spikes.

Bees, butterflies and hummingbirds are hovering about the tiny blue-purple blossoms, sucking the nectar.

This perennial shrub with evergreen leaves cloaked with striking flowers is indeed the pride of spring garden.
