The largest living tortoise, the Galapagos tortoise (Chelonoidis nigra) in Los Angeles Zoo. Being a Zoology major, I had studied about this gigantic reptile in Evolutionary Biology. Darwin had often mentioned it in his voyage account. However, watching the vulnerable species myself was an awesome experience. It was amusing to see it crawl slowly on the lush grass bearing the weight of the huge shell with distinct patterns.
