One day I was hit with the fantastic idea of making a bouquet of wild flowers found in abundance near our house.
I gathered few stalks of salvia, two inflorescence of bougainvillea, several feather reed grass, purple hardy ice plant blooms, a day lily, some street side yellow flowers, red and black autumn berries and holly twigs with rich green, waxy leaves. It was the result after arranging the blossoms in an empty tennis bottle. Though not exactly stunning, this fresh flower vase made of seasonal blossoms and foliage definitely graced the counter for more than a week without wilting.
I continued with the trend, till now, with some pretty results.....
A flower vase made of seasonal flowers and twigs...rhododendron, bush lily, gazania, Indian hawthorn, ligustrum, hardy ice, a sprig of Japanese magnolia...
