Plant: Trumpet creeper.......

Trumpet creeper (Campsis radicans) grow luxuriantly in California coast. This vine bears bunches of orange, pink, purple-colored tubular flowers rich in nectar, which attract the hummingbirds. This creeper needs trellis, pergola or arbor to grow.

The purple variety........

The striped variety...........

This creeper in our San Diego apartment with numerous upward-directed tender shoots caught my fancy....the young twigs grow skyward, craving for more sunlight.

Climbing on a palm....

Gracing a wall in Irvine.......

At the Century barn in Costa Mesa..
